Product Description:
The Nocturn UANVM “Tanto” is an ultralight, field-adaptable night vision monocular housing built for serious users who want capability without bulk. Weighing only about 1.87 oz (housing only), it’s designed to match up with PVS-14 mounts and convert easily to an articulating binocular setup via the “Daisho” bridge—fast transform from sharing one tube to using two; no complex tools needed.
Its rugged body is made from impact-resistant polymer and finished in Black Cerakote, offering both durability and low reflectivity for tactical environments. The user interface is simple: an on/off push button in the battery cap keeps things clean and minimizes snagging, while its drop testing (1.5 meters onto concrete), IP68 equivalent sealing, and MIL-STD-810G rating ensure it’s built to take hits and bad weather without failing.
Power comes from a single CR123A battery, giving you upwards of 50 hours of runtime under standard load. The Tanto comes ready for compatible image intensifier tubes (18mm style MX-10160 or MX11769) and front optics can be chosen per user preference—standard mil-spec or upgraded lightweight options. All in all, this is Night Vision made versatile, rugged, and ready for operators who want gear that adapts as fast as their mission.
