Product Description
Disclaimer: Wolverine Units are not designed to allow for the "feathering" of a trigger that players are often seeking. If you are interested in this type of fire rate on semi, then you will need to look into the Black Leaf "HPA Speed Boards" that we will carry shortly. Another option would be to utilize PolarStar electronics on the Wolverine Unit. You would need a trigger board, wire harness, and FCU to do so.
The GEN 2 Inferno features a revolutionary single solenoid, independent poppet and nozzle design that sets a new standard for a drop in kit. Particularly, it is designed to solve the “open bolt problem”. It is a hybrid design which keeps the advantages of an open bolt system: easy tuning, no first round dry fire, efficiency, etc… and adds the simplicity of easier hop up tuning that closed bolt systems have traditionally offered. In addition, it further improves the efficiency over our previous systems by an estimated 10-15%.
Here are some of the key features of the INFERNO GEN 2:
- Toolless design
- INFERNO GEN 2 Nozzle Design (Not Compatible with GEN 1 Inferno Nozzles)
- Single solenoid fired
- Robust design with for optimal durability
- Very air efficient
- External FCU
Now some FAQs from our friends over at Wolverine Airsoft:
Can I upgrade my SMP/Inferno/HYDRA to a Gen 2 Inferno?
Yes! We will be offering upgrade kits which include the GEN2 Inferno body along with a filtered grip line. Simply swap the valve and electronics over from the original system and you are ready to rock!
But wait what about HYDRA?
We have some exciting development work underway for the HYDRA line of products, but until that project is ready to go we are going to be temporarily discontinuing HYDRA.
Does this mean you won’t support Gen1 Inferno/HYDRA?
We do our best to always support our products even if they are discontinued. Nothing to worry about.
So with the independent nozzle and poppet is the turning more complicated?
Not at all. Because the system still is operated by the single solenoid valve direct fired design, it features the same ultra simple tuning our SMP products are known for!
Does this mean I can just drop it in and go with no extra tuning to the hop up etc?
Yes! The system performs extremely well with most stock hop up configurations. The only think you will want to check is that your alignment is right. While the Gen2 is less sensitive to alignment than single moving part systems, it will still play a role in the overall performance of the gun.
I wish I had known you were doing this! I just bought my Inferno 2 weeks ago!
