White Phosphor Nocturn Industries UANVB KATANA GEN 3 NVG Binocular Night Vision Device - The Ultralight Articulating Night Vision Binocular
Nocturn Industries kick starter product and first in a series of articulating binocular devices. This is the lightest Katana NVG binocular on the market to date at a functional weight of 14.64 oz. fully assembled (with battery installed) in it's lightest configuration. The articulating design allows users to use one eye or both eyes enabling the simultaneous use of a thermal optic or other non-passive aiming systems. This also enables users to operate vehicles without limiting head space by eliminating the need to stow the unit upright or to tuck the pods against the helmet when stowed.
It is simple with a minimalist design. An onboard battery with no remote power keeps things simple and wires off the helmet, but has the ability to run external power through it's LEMO port. Push button on/off in the cap to reduce weight and reduce the footprint of the bridge. Individual pod power on/off when articulated to the side for single or dual eye use and to eliminate backsplash when stowed or rotated out.
An original new patented “Friction Lock Interpupillary Adjustment” feature allows users to quickly and easily set IP stop distance with a simple rotate into place and forget design. No tools or knobs.
This Nocturn Industries unit is light weight without compromising strength. It is engineered with cutting-edge carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite. Nocturn's injection molded material surpasses traditional polymer solutions and rivals the tensile strength of 60161-T6 Aluminum. The Katana exceeds MIL-STD-810G plus has been drop tested to the NATO 6 feet to concrete drop test standard in six different orientations on a single device ensuring rugged performance in demanding operational environments. All Nocturn products are designed and hand built in New Hampshire, USA.

- L3 Filmless intensifier tubes are very high end and considered some of the best tubes on the market. These tubes offer unparalleled performance in lower light situations compared to your typical Elbit or other thin filmed GEN 3 tube. Due to the manufacturing process of filmless technology, they often have a slight "peppering" to them, however, their performance more than makes up for any impurities from the manufacturing process. Want the best performance on a moonless night or in very dark areas, then the L3 tubes are the way to go! These have a luminance gain of 40,000 - 80,000 fL/fc)
L3 SUPERGAIN Un-Filmed Tube Specifications:
