The PD-PRO-16M night vision monocular sets a new standard for system size by using an innovative 16mm 4G image intensifier tube. The use of a 16mm tube allows the system to be smaller and lighter than it’s 18mm cousins while still providing exceptional clarity, crispness, and contrast in low-light environments. 4G image intensifier tubes utilize our proprietary 4G technology to provide the smallest and most transparent halo around the brightest objects, advanced ultra-fast auto-gating that responds to lighting changes 3x quicker than the blink of an eye, and the ability to use laser designators or illuminators that are not visible to standard industry night vision goggles. The PD-PRO-16M is the perfect choice for night vision users and enthusiasts who want a lightweight, small form factor , and powerful night vision device. The Photonis Defense PD-PRO-16M is the lightest and smallest monocular night vision device on the market today. Utilizing the same 4G 16mm technology as the PD-PRO-16B binocular, the PD-PRO-16M provides outstanding performance in a package that is 58% smaller and 38% lighter than the industry standard A/N PVS-14. This system is ideal for navigation, map reading, and emergency situations because of its superior performance that improves situational awareness for the user. Every component in the PD-PRO-16M has been meticulously designed to maximize the performance of the 4G image intensifier tube and the maneuverability of the operator. An aerospace aluminum alloy housing makes the system environmentally resistant to an electromagnetic pulse, extreme heat, cold and salt. Each PD-PRO-16M device is water-resistant to industry-leading levels and features specialized objective lenses, utilizing German proprietary optical coatings, to take full advantage of the enhanced spectrum capability of the 4G tube. A long-lasting battery extends your operational use, allowing you to carry fewer replacement batteries when out in the field. When purchasing a helmet mount, this unit pairs best with the following mount:Photonis PD PRO Helmet Mount. The Photonis mount comes with a magnetic bar that integrates with the PD PRO series on/off switch, allowing for the unit to turn off when flipped up and back on when flipped down. This also allows you to shoot in compromising positions without worrying about your NVGs turning off. Other mounts will not allow for this feature and your unit will stay on when flipped up.
