Product Description
ZCI Tune-Up AEG Main Spring (M90 / M100 / M120 / M130 / M140 / M150 / M160)
The ZCI Tune-Up AEG Main Spring is a steel replacement spring for AEG gearboxes, offered in seven power ratings from M90 to M160. Changing the main spring is the most common way to adjust an AEG’s velocity, whether you need to meet a field limit or build a higher power rifle. ZCI springs are designed for AEG gearboxes, including Marui spec gearboxes.
Choose your rating based on your target FPS. Retailer figures put the M100 at around 350 FPS in a standard 14 inch barrel system, the M120 at roughly 380 to 400 FPS, the M140 at about 430 to 450 FPS, and the M150 at about 460 to 500 FPS, all with 0.20g BBs. These are estimates, since your actual velocity depends on your barrel length, cylinder volume, air seal, hop up, and BB weight.
Stronger springs put more load on the rest of your gearbox. A gearbox built for a lower rating can be damaged by a much stronger spring, so make sure your gears, piston, and other parts are suited to the rating you choose, and check your field’s FPS limit. Installation means opening the gearbox, so professional installation is recommended if you are not experienced.
