Product Description
The T238 J-Caged Deep Groove Ball Bearing Set is an upgrade for 8mm AEG gearboxes, made for builds that spin fast and hit hard. The balls and rings are steel, and the bearing uses an SPCC J type steel cage that T238 rates for stable operation at 70 RPS. T238 also says the steel supports loads up to M180 spring strength, and the rings have a hardness of HRC 61.5 to 64.
The flange is only 0.6 mm thin, which leaves more room for gear shimming inside the gearbox. A deep groove design keeps rotation smooth and stable, and retailers describe the bearings as reducing friction and heat buildup in high speed and high torque builds. This makes them a good fit for high rate of fire AEGs and HPA builds, as long as the gearbox is properly shimmed.
For high rate of fire builds, T238 advises adjusting the AOE (angle of engagement) and reducing the number of piston teeth as appropriate. Proper shimming is required for best performance. These are upgrade parts for airsoft gearboxes only, and are not intended for real firearms.
