Stingray Airsoft - 50mm Disposable Mortar
The Stingray Airsoft 50mm Disposable Mortar is a single use mortar modeled on the M19 60mm Paratroop mortar used by the U.S. in WWII. It is built for airsoft MilSim and force on force training, and it brings realistic indirect fire support to your game, so you can hit targets behind cover or at a distance.
It has a barrel, a base plate, a bipod and a firing mechanism, with an angle marking on the bipod so you can set your elevation for range shooting. Stingray lists a maximum range of 500 feet, and the whole mortar is about 40 inches long and about 2 pounds, so it is easy to pack in and set up.
Choose your round in the options. The Foam Round (M1) fires a 50mm foam projectile, like the foam in Stingray’s AT4 rockets. The Marking Round (M3, called Impact by Stingray) also fires a foam projectile, and it marks where it lands so hits are easy to confirm. Stingray notes that foam projectiles keep the mortar safe for force on force training.
It is a single use design, so there is nothing to maintain or reload. Once fired, it is spent and can be kept as a display piece. Always follow your field’s rules and wear eye protection.
