The MechLabs Reign of Fire R.O.F.-1 is a complete, ready to build HPA M4 rifle. It comes with the MechLabs X-MOD mechanical HPA engine already installed in a lightweight polymer body. MechLabs builds the whole rifle around its own HPA technology, so the engine, hop up, and barrel are designed to work together.
The X-MOD is a fully mechanical HPA engine with no electronics, so there is no battery, wiring, or MOSFET to deal with. MechLabs describes it as a modular platform with an adjustable bolt and air cycle. Its magnetic return trigger has adjustable travel and sensitivity, and the “Air Bender” control lets you tune the bolt cycle rate and rate of fire. Small, gradual adjustments work best, because extreme settings can cause irregular cycling.
Up front, the rifle uses the MechLabs Roto standard hop up chamber, which is buckingless. Instead of a rubber bucking, it uses a precision micro injected rigid nub on the hop up arm to apply backspin. With no bucking, there is no worn part to replace. The included Zero alignment cap connects the Roto chamber directly to the X-MOD engine for accurate alignment. The rifle also has a 6.03mm, 245mm inner barrel and comes with a 150rd mid cap magazine.
This is an HPA rifle. You will need an HPA tank, a regulator, and a line, none of which are included. Keep regulated pressure within MechLabs’ guidance and never raise it above 120 PSI.
